Simos Liakos
Project Architect

Simos acquired his Msc in Architecture Engineering at the University of Patras. Besides, he majored in International Management at the Alba University of Athens, in order to hone his project management skills. Having spent multiple years studying, he now understands that architecture is a lifelong 24/7 activity, that is just triggered by relating with a space.

Being part of LAA from his early childhood and officially joining in 2017, he understands well our team’s culture and orientation. Hard work and cooperation are his main personality drivers. The process of analyzing and synthesizing architecture, as well as directing multiple construction sites, from the early years of his career, gave him a better understanding of what architects should do. In addition, he has been interested in researching fields like speculative projects, dystopias and a range of designing concepts that are being thoroughly investigated especially during lunchtime. These intriguing concepts led him to being involved in various international competitions and workshops. As a result, thinking out of the box is his main concern without of course neglecting the importance of feasibility and sustainability in his designs and ideas.

He likes travelling at beautiful places. On these trips he observes thoroughly local architecture, trying to find the reasons behind it. Besides architecture, he likes to spend his time drawing and writing. Sometimes, he also claims to be playing basketball and football with his friends, but we have only seen him scoring scrap paper hoops from old designs into the recycle bin.
