Located in the heart of the historic center, on Nikodimou Street in Plaka, the hotel is adjacent to several notable preserved buildings in Plaka. The property consists of two plots, one of which was built and operated since 1972 as ‘ELECTRA PALACE’. This building consists of a basement, ground floor, 7 floors and roof with unobstructed view of the Acropolis.
The new wing began construction in 2001 with a simultaneous renovation of the existing building and consists of three floors, a ground floor and basements.
In the basements there is an event room, a rejuvenation and wellness center and parking spaces. This new wing is pulled from the building line where the existing hotel is located and a strip of greenery is created, while ensuring the exposure of the beautifully preserved neighbouring buildings.
The connection between the existing historical building elements and the new modern wing is achieved with the clarity of the new forms and creative attention to detail. The facades of the new building were designed to ensure the morphological alignment with the neighboring preserved buildings and generally the upgrading of the historic center.
